Over the years, African pastors have always been attacked by people over the claim that paying tithes attract Gods blessing.
While many believed that claim, others do not see an iota of truth in it by saying that men of God use that opportunity to milk people of their resources.
In some situation, many people have come up with different questions as regards tithe.
Some of the questions are based on the fact that rich people like Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, Bill Gate, warren buffetts and Lots more do not pay tithe yet they are successful in the respective businesses.
Also, some people went as far as asking that the Muslim folks do not pay tithes yet they are successful in all their dealings, so isn't Tithes being questioned by this?
However, the Founding Pastor of the Living Faith Church Worldwide Bishop David Oyedepo released a statement through his verified Twitter handle about tithing.
Bishop David Oyedepo said “Tithing is an inescapable covenant obligation. Prosperity not just wealth is impossible without tithing because when you are not paying your tithe, You’re under a financial curse”.
After this statement made way on twitter, Many twitter users have been saying all sort of things as regards the issue of tithing as well as how genuine it is.
Also, many people have claimed that pastors often use the issue of tithe to threaten many people in a bid to subject them to paying tithes compulsorily in form of money.
Moreso, someone reacting to Bishop Oyedepo’s post said there are certain people stated in the bible to be collecting tithes.
He went further to quote the book of Nehemiah 15:5 where it was said that the people who are eligible to receive tithe from people are the Levites (Aaron And His Descendants)
