This is a cheering news for people of Oyo state most especially indigenes of Oke Ogun as federal government is ready and set to establish a university named Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Oke Ogun. (Establishment ETC) BILL 2020 (58.159).


As the bill to establish the university will soon be a law. The bill was sponsored by Senator Fatai Buhari the senator representing Oyo North senatorial district.

This was made know in letter dated 13th of July 2020 which was written to Aseyin of Iseyin land inviting him and the general public to the public hearing on the Establishment of Federal university of Agriculture and Technology Oke Ogun, Oyo state.


Remember prior to the 2019 general election, during the campaign the Vice president of the country, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo led the APC campaign team to the Oke Ogun axis of Oyo state which the people requested for a federal university and pledged their support for the re election for President Muhammad Buhari.

This is a welcome development because it will increase the level of literacy, promote economic activity and bring development to the Oke Ogun area of Oyo state.

We hope for the speed passage of the bill and full implementation in due time.
